Perfect Day

It's a perfect day Lying here with you Ruminating on the course Of our lives
It's a perfect day The sun shining through The leaves high above, Warming our cheeks
We talk about everything And laugh about nothing We sing our silly songs All afternoon
It's a perfect day The ground soft and warm I wish it would go on And time never fades
It's a perfect day And we grew silent But words aren't needed No, not needed at all
We looked at each other And it's all that mattered We had each other All afternoon...
It's a perfect day.

When You're Gone

You said hello But never said goodbye You took my hand And suddenly took flight You left me wondering Whatever happened to us
I still remember How your kisses burn And how your touch Makes me writhe with yearn You can't blame me if I can't get over you
I never got to tell you The things I wanted to tell you But maybe you don't need to know How much it hurt me so...
To see your face In the smile of a stranger To hear your voice In the summer breeze When you're gone Do you think of me?
So I play the victim Left here all alone Never saw it coming I've been such a fool You always had me Oh, you still have me with just one look
I never got to tell you The things I long to tell you But maybe you don't need to know How much it hurt me so...
To see your face In the smile of a stranger To hear your voice In the summer breeze When you're gone Do you think of me?
What I'd give To see you once again To hear you say my name One more time when you're gone Do you think of me?

When You Slipped Away

When you slipped away Into a dark summer evening You left me here to stay Gone without a warning I hope you remember Nothing else will matter
But you can't deny We had the best and worst of times When you closed the door I hope you find there's something more
Now I'm just a ghost You left me down and so lost But you had to go And I have to learn to let you When you think of me now Do you still remember?
But you can't deny We had the best and worst of times When you closed the door I hope you find there's something more
It will take a lifetime For me to be alright But the time I had you in my arms Make up for all the pain inside
'Cause you slipped away And left my poor heart bleeding Remembering your face Leaves my soul still yearning I hope you remember No one else will matter
'Cause you can't deny We had the best and worst of times When you closed the door I hope you find there's something more
When you walked away I hope you'll find your way back someday

You Will Be Missed

I just heard the sad news...
My mind is flooded with questions... Why did you do it? How could you do something so stupid over a girl?!
Questions which I know would remain unanswered.
If it was something I heard about a stranger, I wouldn't pause and think or would be this bothered. But I knew you since we were kids. I knew you to be a happy and fun person, always looking on the brighter side of life.
I guess I didn't know you too well after all.
I'm sorry your heart was broken... I'm sorry someone made you cry and thought it was the end of the world... I'm sorry I will never see your carefree smile again.
I'm sorry you had to go away...
Cousin, you will be missed.

"I will wait for you in YM, Selena."
Such sweet words which hold an even sweeter promise of what was to transpire in cyber-la-la-land... if that were my name.
But it's not.
I am only Ann... plain, negligible, dispensable, forgettable Ann.

My first anti-limerick

Someone asked for anti-limericks so I made this attempt at one. I know it still rhymes but it's the rhythm that's off.
There was a young fellow named Brad Who was jolly and rarely sad. When asked why he glee, He said why won't he? When his c*ck was so big he can hardly contain it in his pants.

My Silly Lolly Limerick

There was a hatted girl named Lily Whose laugh sounded rather quite silly. She danced on her toes And spun out of control, And landed on her poor little tooshie.
And then in her seated sanguinity She had a strange craving for lolly. She wrinkled her nose And then she arose, And ran all the way to her Swedey!
But, alas, when she reached his abode He was working his little fellow. Not to be left behind, She knelt o'er his recline, And proceed to give him the big O!

* I put together 3 limericks to complete the story.

Can I have my Swedish pancake and eat it, too?

I've been having this inexplicable craving for Swedish pancakes lately and found this recipe on the internet. I wonder if it will sate my appetite.
Regular Swedish Pancakes (This recipe is for 4 persons)
You need this: 8 deciliters (0.8 litre) of fresh milk 4 deciliters (0.4 litre) of wheat flour 4 nice and fresh eggs (disagreeable eggs are a no-no!) 1 teaspoon salt Butter or Margarine
This is what you do: Take out a rather big bowl and mix milk, flour and eggs together while beating it all with a whisk until evenly distributed. Then melt about 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine, preferably in a flat frying pan with a diameter of approximately 20 cm (0.2 metres). Add, while beating, the melted butter and salt to taste (about 1 teaspoon should be enough).
Now focus on the flat frying pan in which you melted the butter a short while ago. It should be rather hot. Add just enough butter to cover the flat surface. The butter should instantly start melting and making noise. If not, wait until it does.
Put about one small cup of mixture in the frying pan. The pancakes should be really thin, the mixture should only just cover the surface, pretty much like crepes if those are familiar to you.
Let the pancake fry until it starts to get dry on the unfried side. This should not take more than a minute or two. Turn the pancake over and let it fry on the other side as well.
When both sides have been fried to a golden brown colour, your first Swedish Pancake is done and you should remove it from the frying pan to prevent it from getting burnt (like, duh).
Now, all you have to do is to repeat the steps that seems most logical for you to repeat, and continue to do so until you run out of Swedish Pancake mixture.
How To Eat Swedish Pancakes Set a table for 4 persons. If you are more than that you have to make more Swedish Pancakes. Add in proportion to the recipe above. Use dinner plates, knives and forks.
The only drink possible with Swedish Pancakes is milk.
The Swedish Pancakes should be eaten together with either the jam or fruit preserve of your choice or ice cream - or both. The rules are not strict here. The important thing is that you like it. Basically it should be sweet and rather unhealthy.
Below is a list of suggestions based on what is most common in Sweden. Use them, combine them or make your own choice.
The list of suggestions: Lingonberry jam Preserve or jam of any berries Sugar or syrup Butter (possibly with some cinnamon in it) Ice cream Whipped cream
Known Problems With Swedish Pancakes!!! Basically the problem with Swedish Pancakes can be narrowed down to the word "timing". The fact that it takes quite some time to prepare them causes a lot of conflicts related to the actual production. See below.
Problem: How do I keep the family members calm during the production process? Solution: Tell them to clean up the mess you have caused in the kitchen.
Problem: How do I stop myself from eating the pancakes straight away? Solution: Don't. The person making the pancakes, but only this person, automatically has the right to eat pancakes at the stove.
Problem: How do I stop others from eating the pancakes straight away? Solution: Tell those who are not cleaning up the mess you caused in the kitchen to set the table.
If you want to share your experiences with this recipe, it's highly appreciated. Enjoy!

Good Riddance

 Good Riddance (Green Day)
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial For what it's worth, it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life...
